The New Year’s Eve party for kids at the Serlesbahnen mountain station is legendary in the Stubai Valley: cotton candy stands & airbrush tattoos, riding on a Pistenbully, roasting marshmallows, and, of course, the spectacular fire show. Not every day on the slopes has to be all about intense skiing. The Serlesbahnen prioritize clarity over a densely branched network of runs and a relaxed atmosphere over hustle and bustle. An added historical bonus is the Zeughaus Museum in Innsbruck.
Once the armory of Emperor Maximilian I, today it is a place steeped in Tyrolean history. Amongst old weapons, historical artifacts, and rotating exhibitions, visitors can see how life and work in Tyrol have been shaped over the centuries.
